I’ve been in the industry for over 30 years. Started as an EI&C Engineer onshore and offshore, moved to software and database development, then MES consultancy and finally as Chief Digital Transformation Office responsible for new SaaS products and globalising our business portfolio. Love change, innovation and agility.

Things that make me go Whoop…

With over three decades immersed in the manufacturing industry, I’ve continually pondered the ‘whys’ behind technological functionality, operational methodologies within businesses, and the inherent challenges of instigating change. Beginning my career as an Electrical Control and Instrumentation Engineer (EC&I) in the nuclear sector, my initial venture involved contributing to the construction of a Tritium Enrichment plant—an exhilarating foray into the realm of control systems. Subsequently, I transitioned to offshore roles, specializing in gas turbine generators. The awe-inspiring sight of a 40 MW gas turbine coming to life under the influence of lines of code I had programmed left an indelible mark.

My journey evolved into programming, high-level languages, and the construction of database schemas. While these activities lacked the tangible excitement of witnessing a physical system in action, I soon recognized the vast potential within the world of software applications. Both domains, whether controlling equipment or addressing business processes and organizational structures, share the common objective of harnessing knowledge to solve challenges.

The ambitious vision of the 4th industrial revolution seeks to unite these two realms, merging cyber-physical elements through digital twins and IoT with business logic employing digital threads. This horizontal integration throughout businesses defines production decisions—what to make, when to make it, and what has been made. However, the journey towards breaking down silos, streamlining business processes, adopting new technologies, and platforming software is a gradual process.

This brings me to the KELLERWATT’s mission. Drawing from the knowledge and experience accumulated over three decades, we aim is to assist businesses in their transformative journeys. However, we diverge from the conventional consulting approach of “land and expand.” Instead, our philosophy is to “land and exchange,” emphasising a reciprocal knowledge transfer. KELLERWATT is dedicated to extracting wisdom from one and seamlessly transferring it to another, fostering scalability throughout an organization. Our approach is encapsulated in clear work packages, outlining the scope, duration, and deliverables, providing companies with a transparent understanding of our consultancy process.
